Scooters Reality 10,55, Brandts Klædefabrik, Odense DK Feb. – May 2006 Homage to the scooter. Buying the scooters was the first step, equipping them the next and riding them the third, consisting of one and two-day trips in the area around the city of Odense. The idea of being members of a “decoration team”, which had it as a job to decorate and maintain the public space, was the spirit and vision of our team. Simultaneously, using the scooters as objects of inspiration, we built and inflated the exhibition inside. The project is thereby a wish to combine outdoor and small local projects with an exhibition space as a kind of base (and showroom/documentation) for the interventional activities and as an abstraction of the shapes of the landscape, surroundings, nature, city and means of transportation. In the time of the exhibition the scooters can be borrowed for free by anyone with a driver’s license.
